As you exit from the
Albuquerque International Airport, stay in the left lane of the
"S-curve" around the parking garage onto Sunport, which will exit
directly onto I-25 North to Santa Fe.
Take a right on to I-25
North, the main highway to Santa Fe. Travel approximately one hour
on I-25 to Exit 282, St. Francis Drive.
Follow St. Francis
Drive for 3.2 miles to Paseo de Peralta. Turn right onto Paseo de
Peralta and drive across Guadalupe Street. The double-archway
entrance to Hotel Santa Fe is easily visible on the left, at the
corner of Cerrillos Road.
Along the Turquoise
Trail, you can explore unique towns and rural sceneries. Prehistoric
peoples made their homes here. Spanish missionaries explored the
area and battles were fought over this land. Outlaws and Confederate
soldiers camped in the area. This is also the trail where Kit Carson
marched Navajo people during their "Long Walk" to incarceration at
Fort Sumner.
